LEADER Β-CAROTINE 10% .

FUNCTIONAL CAROTENOIDS

The leader is β-carotene 10% — feed β-carotene, containing 100 g of β-carotene per 1000 g of the preparation. β-carotene has antioxidant, immunostimulating, anticarcinogenic and antimutagenic properties. The presence of β-carotene in feed is an important factor in improving the performance of sows, cows, boars and bulls. Also, in the absence or lack of natural sources in the rations for breeding birds

carotenoids can be used Leader β-carotene 10%. The effect of β-carotene on the viability and productivity of piglets has been established. The introduction rate is 100-300 mg / kg of feed.

LEADER YELLOW. PIGMENTS
Leader Yellow — natural yellow pigments obtained by extraction from marigold flowers. Leader Yellow contains 2% lutein and zeaxanthin as the main pigments. It is used to increase the intensity of pigmentation of egg yolks in the amount of 30-200 g / t, for broilers 300-1500 g / t of feed, depending on the desired color intensity.

LEADER RED. PIGMENTS
Leader Red is a red pigment containing 10% canthaxanthin. It is used to increase the intensity of pigmentation of egg yolks in the amount of 5-75 g / t, for broilers 50-100 g / t, for salmon meat 250 g / t of feed, depending on the desired intensity of color.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INCREASING PIGMENTATION OF BROILER CARCASES AND EGG YOLK.
The best color for egg yolk is considered to be a range of colors from golden yellow to yellow-orange. This can be achieved by mixing the Leader Yellow and Leader Red carotenoids in a certain proportion. The yellow pigments are responsible for the color density and yellow color, while the red pigments give intensity and transform the yolk color into an orange hue. Changes in pigmentation begin to appear on day 3-4 and reach a maximum on the 10th day, after which it must be maintained with the same dosage. Dosages according to BASF and DSM color scale are shown in the table:

When calculating the level of introduction of xanthophyll preparations into diets for coloring broiler and chicken carcasses, one proceeds from the following recommendations: 300-500 g Leader of the Yellow per 1 ton of feed gives the skin a yellowish tint, 500-750 g — a yellowish commercial color, 750 — 1500 g of the preparation allows obtaining intense, golden color. To give the carcass a darker («tanned») shade, add Leader Red, 50-100 g / t feed. The maximum pigmentation appears on the 14th day after the start of feeding.
